Suns up!

Saturday morning and at 7 am its already hot and sunny. A fantastic Barbecue weekend looks certain and Hereford just up the valley was yesterdays hottest place in Britain at over 27C. Tintern Abbey is seen against an impossibly blue sky and the woods are full of scented bluebells and wild garlic. What more could you want.

Beach Bodies are here

Our brave and delightful guests and the camera crew have arrived and tomorrow start their programme of workouts and diet. We are also following the diet- does gardening and cottage cleaning count as a physical workout?! certainly feels so!

Warm already

7 in the morning , the sun is up and its warm already with a forecast high of 25C. GMTV weather girl says its warmer here than Nice, Corfu and most of the mediterranean, Yo! Visit Wales home of real holidays!

A hot weekend!

A really warm and sunny Thursday and the forecast is for a hotter weekend. Cant wait.

Bathroom Makeover@Foxes Reach

Super modern washbasin has arrived at Foxes Reach in the travertine downstairs shower room.the old one with its traditional brass taps was nice but put to shame by the up to date glamour of Abbey Cottage!Gotta keep up!

Smart new bedroom look at Foxes Reach

One of our spacious single rooms at Foxes Reach has been given a makeover with superb new blinds and cushions made locally from gorgeous Jane Churchill fabric and there are also excellent new drawers.

GMTV is coming!

Tintern Abbey Cottage has been chosen to be the accommodation for the GMTV Beach Body Boot camp programme starting 24 May. See us on morning telly and help us welcome our brave guests as they get slim and fit!

Christmas in the Wye Valley

Our guests at Foxes Reach were a family who spend Christmas on different sides of the Atlantic so who come to us each year to celebrate together- in May. We managed some crackers and they had plenty of seasonal food and pressies. On the same day we took bookings for Foxes Reach for this coming Christmas. Is there something in the water?
